This term was invented during the first World War. The allied soldiers came up with this term for the non-threatening people during the war. The Germans had amazing artillery weapons, but they also had a smaller gun, that was highly noticeable because of the sound it made when a round was shot. Instead of a normal boom from a fire it made a “Pip” sound. The boys in the trenches called them “pipsqueaks” after the war they called someone with no significant meaning pipsqueaks or if the person was just annoying.
Did you know during the D-Day, some 3,546 German soldiers fought and 3000 of them were killed. There were a total of 9000 people who died that very day.
