Some facts about Rocks

Use them as projectiles or construction purposes, rocks and other rocky things do their job well. Here are a few nice facts about them.

-In case you didn’t knew the diamond was the hardest substance on earth, that’s why it’s worth so much..just kidding about the last part.

-The Quartz is the most common item on earth, more common then ROCKS, ok maybe not..

-The basalt type of rock is the most common rock on earth.

-The Jade, not as sturdy as the diamond but still pretty hard, was used by many cultures for different purposes.

-Rubies are even more popular the diamond nowadays.

-On Apollo 17, there was a  geologist who brought a bunch of samples from the moon, scientist have learned much about the moon’s composition etc, because of rocks.

-The biggest golden nugget weighted around 150 pounds , found in Australia.

-Platinum is so rare in a 1million pound ore, only 1% of that ore could be platinum.

-The Taj Mahal, one of the 7 wonders, made in 1632-1654, was all made out of marble.
