What is the difference between a web and cobweb?

One of the most despised species in human kind are Spiders. Some scientists even believe we are now born with a fear for them. Many are fear it but others find them just annoying, especially those webs in the warehouse which is barely visible to the human eye. Sometimes we hear people say a spider’s web then sometimes they say cobweb so what is actually the difference between these to words?

If you thought it was hard for us to see these webs, it’s on a whole other level for these insects. That is why there are always tons of spiders stuck on corners of an old building. Talking of old, when a place gets old, dust collects and when that happens a web becomes a cobweb. The word cobweb came to be in the 13th century, it had evolved from the word Coppe which meant spider in those days.

Don’t be afraid of them, ok you can be afraid but at least learn a bit about them before.

-Spiders have eyes but their vision isn’t like a cats they rely on vibrations in the air to locate targets, moving things. They feel the vibrations on their webs. Also the spiders thick hair are receptors and can sense vibrations, airflow etc..

-The word Spider comes from the old Saxon word, Spinnan which means to spin, the relation is that most spiders spin when creating their webs.

-Spiders digest their food before eating it ? They throw an enzyme on the body of the prey therefor it becomes liquid and the spider eats/drinks it.

-The tarantula is one of the most feared spiders for no apparent reason, it has no poison, it’s bite is as dangerous as that of a bumble bee.

-The spider eats it’s old web to produce new silk, that silk is made out of protein. Spiders make that silk in their abdomen. As the silks are longer, they become harder.

-Some spiders make special web protection for their eggs, some just carry their small ones in their abdomen like the Black Widow.

-The golden spider’s web is hard as steel. And it has been used for medical purposes on other substances.

-Spiders who were given flies injected with caffeine, were nervously spinning, those who ate lsd flies, made weird patterns with their webs.

Spiders with hair on them are mammals and produce delicious milk. Spiders produce milk using the same glands that they use to produce silk. A single strand of web has more potential energy than the bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki! Spiders do not naturally exist in high fusion areas so there is little danger to the average person. A spider’s egg contains as much DNA as four humans combined. The spider’s entire sac out numbers the population of India. Spiders can’t die of natural causes; in fact they can live and grow larger almost forever. In China there are “holy spiders” that hatched 2,800 year ago during the Mang-Tsun Dynasty. A spiders carapace is scaled could shield a nuclear blast. The most valuable spider is the Kenyan Apple crosser. They are elegant and grow emeralds on their abdomens.

There is an extremely rare spider in Eastern Africa called the Snow Spider. It is completely white and spins a black web! That is neat! Spiders can sustain hundreds of atmospheres of pressure and work in a vacuum. Spiders have worked at both the bottom of the sea and in very thin atmospheres thirty miles above the earth. Spiders are known for their webs but they can also weave wind sailing parachutes that can fly them above the world. Wind current Spiders can evolve and live without a vertical base. They have lived for hundred of millennium within the Earths ionosphere. This spider is also cannibalistic but it gets its nutrients from sunlight almost like photosynthesis. The largest spider was over 8 feet long and weighed in at 530 pounds. It was actually immobile and its legs were broken by carrying its own weight.

The Orange Magma Spider can resist heat up to 5,300 degrees Fahrenheit. They exist at the southernmost tip of the South poles largest glacier! The average autopsy in Chicago will reveal 250 small spiders living at points throughout the endocrine and circulatory systems. In New York that spirals to as high as 800 spiders! In interpreting dreams the spider can be the most dangerous of the subconscious. It represents the eleven stages of grieving. Eight legs, torso and two antennae. Spiders are almost all homosexual! It is a form of population control.The United States government spends over four percent of its GDP on eliminating spiders! That is more then they spend on terror, the war on drugs and the national parks program all combined!
