But this time around I want to share with you guys, the shortest English sentence ever using all the letters of the alphabet. There are 26 letters in the English alphabet. A complete English sentence must have a subject and predicate. You cannot have a complete sentence without them. Thus coming up with the shortest English sentence that uses all the letters of the alphabet is not an easy task. By the way, a sentence that contains all letters of the alphabet is called Pangram. Such sentences are also called holalphabetic sentences. Further to clear up things, the shortest complete sentence using all the English alphabet is not “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” which is stated by WikiAnswers. The fact that it is not the shortest is because it is 35 letters whereas the shortest one is 31 letters only.
