There is a famous Scottish song, that speaks about two Scottish soldiers and has the name of Lomond Loch. The song is about two Scottish soldiers stuck in a foreign prison. One will be set free but the one speaking in the lines is the one about to die. When the speaking one says “You take the high road and I’ll take the low road. The man speaks of Celtic belief in which the low road means death, and when a Scott dies in foreign land a fairy will guide his spirit home along the “low” road. The high road was the road of life.
The loch is the biggest loch in all of Great Britain. It has several islands on it and around it. Great mountain terrain all around the lake. Also the whiskey that the crazy captain from Tintin drink is called “Loch Lomond”.
