Facts about The Scottish Thistle

Many proud Scotts have this as their tattoo but I’m going to tell you some facts about it’s history and etc..
-The thistle was founded during the rein of Alexander III (1449 – 1286)
- It is the national emblem of Scotland and here is why, Norwegian soldiers were invading a Scottish camp, when the Scottish were sleeping. The Norgies wanted to be dead silent, so they removed their footwear. And one of the soldiers stepped on a Thistle and screamed. Thus wakening every Scottish Soldier and resulting in Norway’s defeat.
-The first coin with the Thistle was issued in 1470 by King James III.
