Renewable Energy Fun Facts

It is a fact that, throughout the world, renewable energy technology is moving out of the trial phases and becoming a reality as a means of supporting our energy needs.  If you’re someone who cares about the world, then renewable energy is an important issue that should be addressed.  You should be aware of the difference it can make if you support and use renewable energy in your life.  What exactly is renewable energy, you ask?  And why do we need it?  And how can you help?  First, let’s address the use of general energy.

GENERAL ENERGY

As you know energy is used to support human life all over the world.  It is the stuff that runs our computers, charges our mp players and cell phones, runs our TV’s, and drives our cars.   Those are the most important usages of energy I know. Every thing we use uses energy in some way.

Energy is derived from resources with the ability to generate power or turn out work.

Currently the world’s energy supply is derived from a variety of resources that we refer to as fuel.  90 percent of the world’s energy is from fossil fuels.  These fossil fuels are considered non-renewable fuels.  Only about 1 percent of renewable energy supports the world’s energy supply, but is clearly growing quickly due to the obvious damaging affect non-renewable energy sources are proving to have on our environment.  It is believed that the use of non-renewable energy as our main source of power will not last another century.

NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY

  • Petroleum, coal, and natural gas are non-renewable energy sources.
  • Petroleum, coal and natural gas are fossil fuels that formed far beneath the earth millions of years ago.
  • Fossil fuels create electricity and are readily available and low-cost, but our damaging our environment.

DOWNFALL OF NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

The drilling and mining of non-renewable energy resources actually change the infrastructure of the earth and harmful to the habitat in the areas drilling or mining take place.

When burned, these non-renewable energy sources such as gas, oil, and coal release toxic gases into our atmosphere.

CO2-carbon dioxides are the gases that cause the greenhouse effect.  These gases are released trapping heat in our lower atmosphere.  Called “global warming” the changes in our atmosphere are threatening ecosystems across the world.

SO2-sulfar dioxides are a major factor for smog, the thick grey smoke over the city, and acid rain.  These contribute to our immune system dysfunctions that cause lung and eye irritations that can develop to serious problems for some people.

NOx-nitrogen oxide, which also adds to the problem of smog and acid rain, this gas causes the same harmful effect to our immune systems.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

Renewable energy comes from fuels that burn “clean.”  This clean energy produces little or no harmful effects in our environment and limits the impact on our delicate ecosystems.  Clean energy is often referred to as “green power,’ as it allows us to produce energy without draining our natural resources.  “Green power” is clearly beneficial to our environment but can also prove to achieve major economic advantages.  That means that “green power” can make “green bills.”  Dollar bills, y’all.  Cost of imported oils from foreign lands will decrease and stabilize the cost at home.  Emission control costs will also lower.  The new field of renewable energy sources will create new jobs on many levels.  It’s a win, wind deal.  Here are a few renewable energy technologies that are in development today:

  • Hydro power is using the energy of moving water such as in rivers or oceans.
  • Solar energy is using the energy from the sun.
  • Wind power is using the energy of the wind or air currents.
  • Geothermal energy is using energy from hot water deposits below the earth’s surface.
  • Biomass energy is energy derived from biological sources.  Such as, wood, crop residues, and fertilizers.

RENWEWABLE ENERGY FUN FACTS

Only about 7.5% of the United States energy came from renewable power sources, in 1998, although 250 times for renewable power was available over their consumption.

In the 1940′s, one of the first modern turbines was built in Vermont.

Electricity for 600,000 families within the U.S. can be produced by the current turbine power industries.

Hawaii is home to the largest wind turbine in the world.  It stands 20 stories high!  And its blades expand the length of a football field.

By using renewable energy sources to provide your daily energy needs we can decease CO2 emissions with 20,000 pounds less of carbon dioxide each year, including 50 pounds of nitrogen oxide less, and 70 pounds of  less sulfur dioxide omitted into our atmosphere.

Did you know 28.3 million consumers meet their energy needs through means of water as a renewable energy source?

One ton of silicon found in sand, used in photovoltaic cells, can create the equivalent amount of energy as burning 500,000 tons of coal.

Compared to a fossil fuel plant, a geothermal plant omits no nitrogen oxides, extremely little sulfur dioxide, and 1,000 – 2,000 times less carbon dioxide gases.

2,700 megawatts of electricity produced by geothermal energy sources is equivalent to the power produced by 3 nuclear power plants.  This is enough energy to provide power to 3.5 million homes.

During 1982, in California, U.S.A, the first large solar energy plant opened.

Every hour enough sunlight reaches the earth’s surface that could potentially provide the world with power for one year.

John Herschel, a British astronomer, converted solar power by using a solar collector box to cook food while on an African expedition, in 1830.

In, 1931, Albert Einstein, collected a Nobel Prize for is work in solar and photovoltaic experimentation.

The first examples of geothermal power are the volcanoes and geysers.

In 1948, at Ohio State University in the U.S., a professor created the first geothermal heating method.

For 2,000 years water power has been grinding grains in throughout the world.

One turbine powered by wind can meet the electrical needs of 300 homes.

During 200 B.C., the Middle-East and China circulated water and grinded grains using windmills.

Bio-fuels are a major source of power in developing counties such as Brazil and China.  Brazil uses sugarcane converted into ethanol.  China’s Sichuan Province derives gases from animal dung.

Since, 1984, two large tidal power instillations are currently in service in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Basin.  This project that is owned by Tidal Power Corporation is run by the tremendous amount of water in the Bay of Fundy.

The Geysers in northern California hold the largest complex of geothermal energy and its capacity can produce more than 1200 megawatts.

Iceland is mounted directly above a massive volcanic system, which provides most of its homes with heat from geothermal energy.

The technology that has the most potential to reshape the world energy economy in the future may be the fuel cell.

Fuel cells are electrochemical devices that combine hydrogen and oxygen in an electrolyte fluid (a solution of ions that conducts an electric current.

THE PROS AND CONS OF RENEWABLE ENERGY

Hydro power relies on the natural resources of water that contain a sufficient volume of water flow.  Although a clean source of energy that emits very little greenhouse gases, its cost is large scale.  However, dams that are created to generate hydro power can cause adverse affects to the environment.

Solar power derived from the sun arrives to earth through discrete pockets of energy called protons.  A completely natural source that feeds every living thing on earth, yet only half its power reaches the earth’s surface.  This energy when in excess needs to be stored in insulated tanks that store hot water and batteries.  Due to the intermittent nature of this energy source it could only be used as a supplemental source of energy for the time being.

Wind power is a very promising source of energy and is clean energy.  Although, it only operates 60% of the year, the rest of the energy is stored in batteries or connected to another electric source.  Wind turbines function and produce to the equivalent of a traditional power station.  They are known for their longevity and show great potential when combined with other green power sources.

Geothermal power resources lie beneath the earth’s surface.  These reservoirs of hot water and steam are pulled up and used to generate turbines to produce electricity.  The drilling cost is of course high and limits the project.  But a natural process continuously produces this source of power and thus is limitless for use.  It is of course a clean burning energy with limited affects on the environment.    However, Hydrogen Sulfide gas, which is very toxic, is often found in these reservoirs, the gas can be removed with anti-pollution “scrubbing” apparatus.

Biomass power is derived from organic matter.  Bio-fuel is made from plants or natural waste, through a fermentation process that produces methane gas, along with other types of gas fuels.  There are many projects geared towards developing bio-fuels, but the cost compared to petroleum has not allowed bio-fuel development to reach its full potential.

WHY USE RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES AND HOW IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

As you should have realized by now is that non-renewable energy sources are polluting our atmosphere and creating dangerous changes to our climate and overall the environment.  Renewable energy sources are natural to our environment causing the least amount of damage to our earth.  Although, the current use of these resources are not in full development and are intermittent, with newer technologies these resources can be changed into a new kind of power system to meet our power needs.  Renewable energy resources can be used and can recover in shorts periods of time.  This sustainable energy regenerates on its own and does not deplete as non-renewable energy sources does.

By being attentive the energy sources you use for your daily needs, you can limit the amount of dangerous emissions that go into our atmosphere and preserve the environment.  Also, by addressing your communities and local utility station to offer alternative pricing and possible investment programs in renewable energy sources will engage the issue with the public.  Look to save your money by finding ways to create “direct use” of natural energy savers such as, geothermal heat pumps, solar water heaters, and the passive solar daylight.

THE RENEWABLE ENERGY REVOLUTION

As the computer industry has swept our way of life with its many technologies, entrepreneurs of the up and coming renewable energy businesses are booming encouraging major corporations to jump in on this growing industry.  British Petroleum Company PLC, General Electric Company, and Royal Dutch/Shell Group are some of the few major corporations to step up with large investments in renewable energy technologies.  There are still other factors that will determine the pace and extent to how fast this industry will grow.  This is still the argument of many economists.  The cost and difficulty of developing the first cars and computers where in the same category but made their triumph into the marketplace.  These are an example of important and revolutionary inventions that proved to their value in the end.

FINAL NOTE

A great insight by Albert Einstein was that he realized energy and matter are just different forms of the same thing.  Matter is able to be turned into energy and energy into matter.  Einstein discovered the strong connection between energy and mass, which he expressed in his famous equation E=mc2.  The E represents energy, m represents mass, and the c2 is a very large number, the square speed of light. Environmental Fun Facts

First, let us understand what environment means and what it is all about.  When we usually speak of the environment we immediately are aware of the current alarming alerts that our environment is in danger.  But what exactly is the environment?  And what exactly is in danger?  Let us start at the beginning by understanding our environment, how it works, and then how it is affected by outside influences.   We will also look at some fun and interesting facts about our environment.  You can learn how to help preserve your environment and by doing so create a fun and lively future.

Understanding the environment.

An environment is defined by the surrounding factors that influence a functioning system of interdependent parts that are of a living thing.  Let me say this in easier terms:  The environment is actually the external parts of something, could be one thing or made up of many things, living or non-living that are apart of a system.  This system includes other living or non-living things.  The natural interaction of the different parts of a system of course can influence changes to each others parts.  In our case, the natural world is made up of living things and some non-living things.  This includes the land, water, and air and all the things that are between these things.  Such as the lands and its vegetation, the seas and its sea life, and the air, well its vitality for our survival and all living things in the natural world.  The environment is made up of things like other living creatures, like mankind, and some non-living factors like wind, temperatures, day length, and ocean currents.

Are you getting the picture?  So in reality when we say our environment is in danger we should realize that we are a part of the environment!  Most people think of the earth first.  That the earth is in danger, well guess what it means we are in danger.   Our living selves are the ones affected by the influence of our natural world.  And vise versa.  It is a two way street.  The earth’s alarming changes are going to affect our existence.  And what is causing the alarming changes to the earth?  Us!  Our interaction with our natural world has caused and continues to cause the alarming changes we see on our earth today.  I know this doesn’t sound fun as my title suggests, but I believe the fun is in knowing.

Natural World + Mankind = Life.  Any change in that equation changes the summation.  Save the Natural World. Save Mankind.

How our environment works.

Well, now that we are clearer about what the environment means, we can look into its workings.  Okay, this is easy so listen up.  Natural world and mankind interact.  This interaction is called an ecosystem.  This is how it works.  The ecosystem is not actually a thing such as you can touch.  It is the ways in which things interact.  Example,  remember you are the environment, and you throw trash on the ground, the trash is an outside factor and the way you disposed of it is the way you chose to work with your natural world.  This is the system, which I believe we can no longer call it an ecosystem but rather an icky-system; that is contributing to the changes to the natural world and in turn if the natural world changes then it affects us.  Aw!  The circle of life.   Of course, there are many types of ecosystems among all levels of living things, but we are discussing the ecosystem of the environment and the natural world.

The environmental cause and effect.

I’m going to put this in two parts because as I mentioned earlier this is a two way street.  First, this matter is in our hands and we should understand that we have to take responsibility for our interaction with the natural world simply because we are the higher intelligence, which is in question. The natural world just does its thing by greater powers unknown.  It doesn’t have its own will like mankind.  It operates on a perfect system.  We operate on soft drinks and hamburgers.   Can you begin to see the problem?

As, the most intelligent part of the environment, we are not making smart choices as to how we interact with the natural world.  It is that simple.  We give it trash and it gives us a thrash.  As a people we are prone to destructive behavior, but come on!

As, the natural world, it is a living thing with no will, but is in need of love and nurturing, the same as mankind.  It is a parable of our very existence.  Yet we carelessly overlook that for temporary pleasures that fade away so quickly, only needed to be filled again.  Thus, the take, take, take, effect.  When we love and nurture the world it gives us beautiful gifts.  When we love and nurture mankind it can give us beautiful gifts.  But it only seems, we as mankind, have lost that loving feeling.

Interesting and fun facts about the environment.

Let’s lighten the mood and look at some of the interesting and fun facts about the environment.  Although most of these facts are more detailed than fun they are amazing signs of the great power our world beholds.

Amazing facts on the development of our environment and geography:

Around 4.55 billion years ago, solar wind altered the earth’s atmosphere.  Earth’s primitive atmosphere was reconstructed by the continuous stream of charged particles known as the solar winds.

Also, around 4.55 billion years ago, mass volcanic eruptions released huge quantities of gases, generating the atmosphere and filling the oceans.

2.50 billion years, approximated, banded iron formation was discovered to have settled on the ocean’s bed.  Creating the belief that the oceans contained oxygen, while the atmosphere does not.

Maybe about 2900 BC, The biblical Deluge, in other words the great flood, occurred round this time.  I wonder what brought that on.  (I say maybe, because these times can not be exact but, there are scientific proofs that these events took place in our environment.)

Maybe about 1700 BC, earthquakes begin to topple civilizations.  Such as, the Minoan civilizations were affected.  (Same goes here.)

Around 780 BC, the first recorded earthquake was documented by Chinese Scholars.  Hey, cool, those guys are so smart.

Interesting discoveries about our environment:

1000 BC, approximate, the first map of the world was created in Babylon.  It shows that earth looks like a disk surrounded by water.  And of course, Babylon is in the center.   Who doesn’t want to be the center of attention?

Around 800 BC, the Greeks discover the benefits of building their cities on the Mediterranean and Aegean coastal areas.  This movement took place due to the expanding populations and their living needs.  The beginning of take, take, take.  No, I’m sure they had no idea.  They thought they just made a smart move.  Besides without many of the Greeks discoveries we wouldn’t be enjoying some of the beautiful living we have today.

1654, a German physicist named Otto Von Guericke exhibited the first air pump, called the Magdeburg hemisphere.  It demonstrates by fitting two hollow hemispheres together, them removes the air with a pump.  As the air is pumped back into the hemispheres the hemispheres fall apart.  Ah!  What does that tell you?  A fine discovery of what could happen to our environment if we don’t pay attention.

1864, George Marsh, an American, publishes the first textbook called “Physical Geography as Modified by Human Activity, on conservation that demonstrated the impact humans have on the environment and the damage we could cause.  Guess he was right.

Amazing features and abilities of our environment:

The Devils Tower is an amazing example that displays traits of columnar cooling characteristics, which is something cool our natural world can do.  This occurs when volcanic basalt lava cools and multi-lateral surface cracks grow through the cooling rock.

Native American stories claim these to be the claw marks of a big bear.  Could be?

The Cliffs of Normandy are a distinguishing momentous example of our world’s features.  Made of limestone and shaped by the natural movement of the water on soft parts of the stone.  There is geological evidence that a land bridge connected the two land masses together during the Cretaceous Era.

A Beautiful Piece of Work!  You Go World.

Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland is another example of volcanic basalt columns.  They are so cool looking.  I think this is where the idea for legos comes from.  See how much we can learn from our natural surroundings.

These are just a couple example of the geological features and abilities of the world we are living and interacting in.  There is a ton more things in all areas of life and this world.  It begins from things we can see, to things beyond our imagination.  It is endless and we have yet to figure it all out.  But the appreciation of our world is being set aside for things less sustaining.  Let us take a look into how we can make better choices to sustain our world by working with a natural ecosystem that will keep our world alive thus, preserving the environment.

How can you help preserve your environment.

Be responsible.  I know you may think my God! Like life is not asking enough of you already but it is really not all that hard and can be fun.  It can inspire you and create passion.  Isn’t that something we are all missing these days.  Passion!  Just check out these ideas and give it a try.

Your transportation.  If you drive a car make sure it is in well tuned.  This will save gas and make less pollution.  That is easy.  If you take public transportation that is even better.  And if you can walk, or ride a bike, wow you are really getting the idea.

Your food.  Eat organic and buy food grown in your local area.  This is to ensure organic foods take priority, which are safe for you and your environment.  Buying local grown foods, you are saving the fuel used to import your food from some far off place.  That will cut out the extra pollution make from the delivery trucks.

Your energy sources.  Research which renewable energies are available in your area.  Sign up!  If they don’t have something, request it.  Get involved and see how you can support Renewable Energy for the future.  This will reserve our resources and save on emissions that are killing our environment.  This will take some effort, but nothing that hurts.  Come on, get in there.

Your home.  Change your light bulbs with energy saving compact fluorescent bulbs.  Weather proofing your home can save on energy use and cost.  So get to it.  Change your showerheads and faucets to ensure no water is being wastes.  Lower your water thermostats to a sensible temperature that would be around 120F.  Buy energy saving electronics and appliances.  This is easy stuff and when you shop it shows the retailers that you mean business and you want the best for your money.

Extra activities.  Plant trees!  Or at least water the ones you have.  Trees make oxygen and I am sure you know how important that is.  Just realize the value of a tree and plants.  You could also donate to organizations that specialize in this category.

Recycle.  Now you know everyone is talking about recycling.  If you feel you don’t know what to do, just research the internet for fun ideas on this subject.  Why waste money on new things that can be reused or turned into something new.  If you recycle and save it will come back to you in better ways.  If you just throw it away you’ll never see it again.  Does that sound like a deal?

Campaign.  Okay this is really an extra step.  If you make an effort just to live clean I wouldn’t blame you.  Campaigning is really for those with passion.  Remember that passion I was talking about?  Well, campaigning can mean just informing others in your community and petitioning for renewable energy and recycling systems to be put in place in you town or city.  This can be branched out on many levels depending on how much passion you have.  Good Luck!

Is it possible to be at two places at one time

Before we plunge into reality, let us condition ourselves first into this idea of getting or being in two places at one time.  Simply imagine getting a strange telephone call from one of your close friend who is so frantic upon seeing you on television participating at last night’s game show, when in reality, you haven’t gone anywhere; you were actually, at that very moment, sitting in the comforts of your home and enjoying the company of your family in front of the television!  Now that is something really strange!  And what’s weirder than accidentally bumping into your very own self on the way to a bus stop or a busy market perhaps!  But wait ‘til “you” say sorry to “you”!

These rare and almost impossible occurrences can all be attributable to the world of time travel. But with an array and almost endless debates and discussions about these phenomena, we will again attempt to, squeeze out some important and vital information in order for us to establish at least, a not so hypothetical solution to our multi-faceted question above.

Since the question involves and implies the notion or the relation to time travel, it would be best if we try to define what this is.  Wikipedia.org says that time travel is an idea or concept which deals with the study of moving between the various moments in time.  It involves the moving of anything to a certain space in time.  These movements can mean moving information or object backwards in the past, or simply sending the same into the future.  Because of its ambiguity, the above concept has no distinct origin but experts believed that its emergence commenced as early as the 18th century.

One of the most prominent figures in this field of study is Dr. Albert Einstein.  He formulated the theory of general relativity.  This theory of him gave birth to the ideas of black holes, worm holes and astrophysics, to name a few.  Einstein’s general relativity is based mainly on what he called “reference frames”.  A reference frame would simply mean where a person is standing.  He further explained in his theory that there is no such thing as a stationary reference frame and that everything in this world is moving through space and time.  He also made emphasis on the idea of speed of light (a thorough discussion on the subject-speed of light, can be found on one of the articles here entitled: “If your car could travel at the speed of light would your headlights work.”)  Dr. Einstein likewise formulated various postulates that furthered the study on the foundation of time travel.

With all the rigorous studies being made through history, piles of paperwork, documentations and over millions of ideas being thrown at, the next query will be – is time travel really that possible?  Basing from the studies made on the concept, results are, like many other theories and hard-to-answer ideas, divided to being doable and its incapability to be performed.  This division has circled around for so long a time.  Earlier, Dr. Einstein and some of his followers believed that the idea is possible through worm holes.  Believers of wormholes state that these are shortcuts through space and time.  Although considered to be hypothetical in nature, experts on the study further manifested that time travel could be possible by simply, according to Wikipedia.org., by merely “folding” the one end of the wormhole to the end.  Further by folding, time is bended thus the two dimensions of time meet and is somewhat synchronized, only on a different timeframe.  It is through acceleration on the one end of the wormhole that this phenomenon is achieved.  And it is through these beliefs that the idea of the time machine emerged.

The above was nevertheless refuted by those who thought exactly the opposite and say that time travel is impossible.  An example of their well-supported claims is the godfather paradox.  Said paradox tells that if a person can travel through time, he can travel and go to the past and kill his grandfather.  With his grandfather killed, the impossibility of his grandfather meeting his grandmother is established.  The more impossible will his parents emerge, as well as his existence.  It would really mean a lot to a killer who travels in time, isn’t it?  The grandfather paradox clearly obliterates the possibility of traveling through time.

All these were nevertheless posted numerous challenges to those who believed the possibility as debates and studies continued to prosper and develop.  Recent developments on the issue are manifested through the contemporary works of Stephen Hawkins, Ronald Malette and many others.

Even philosophy has its own way of looking into these kinds of concept of time.  It is through the study of metaphysics that these ideas are furthered.  Metaphysics merely “jumped”, for its study is based on what is actually beyond.  A more clear explanation to this is, according to informationphilosopher.com, as a study beyond the physical.  The study tends to transcend to what is normal or physical.  Metaphysics’ study also does more in answering the existence of that is beyond our senses.  On a more contemporary and typical sense, we can imply that it has something to do with the paranormal.  Good thing is, the realm of metaphysics has its own concept of time just like our friends mentioned above.  Vague as it is, philosophers such as Immanuel Kant argues that the concept of space and time are simply mere products of the mind used in organizing perceptions.  It is therefore, according to him (Critique of Pure Reason), since we cannot see it, is unreal.

But what is this in the world “beyond” that is called “Bilocation”?  It really may sound new to some.  You’ll even get a red underline when you type the word “bilocation” in your Microsoft Word document.  What is it?  What is its relation to time travel?  Dictionary.com would reveal that bilocation is being two places at the same time.

The concept is all about the ability of an individual or an object to be at two distant and different places at the same time.  This quite intriguing idea is being used on a number of systems.  Such of these are mostly ancient religions (Hinduism, Christian and Jewish mysticisms), occultisms, paganism and of course, the paranormal.

In Christianity, a well documentation of bilocation can be found.  Jesus Christ himself was believed to have undergone the process of bilocation in his Last Supper.  Believers say that he “bilocated” as Jesus of Nazareth and through the bread that he divided (transubstantiation).  A handful of bilocation cases were even documented among saints and monks of the Catholic Church.

In a more “catholic” means of describing, chantcd.com puts it that a servant of God is seen at the same moment at the same time, and that through a mysterious presence, can be witnessed in another place that is far away.  It further explains that instances of bilocation of saints can be manifested through “phantasmal replications” or “aerial materialization”.  Their accounts are strengthened by trustworthy witnesses and persons.  And those accounts of bilocations all happened with the grace of God.

A paranormal webpage, themystica.com, further stresses that since the idea diverts from the exact sciences, bilocation is uncertain.  They then exposed that the theory behind this unique event stems from the projection of a double entity.  The “double” according to them, most often than not, acts and moves differently from the original.  The occurrence, they said, is something of a ghostly manner since the “double” does not respond nor acknowledge when being examined or confronted.

Even the phenomenon is uncertain and uncommon; various historical accounts have been recorded, aside from that mentioned above.  One of the most famous accounts of bilocation is that of Fr. Pio of Italy.  Additionally, as e-zinearticles.com would put it, Bilocation is a mental state used for remote viewing.  The idea is splitting the attention into two making the viewer’s conscious attention drawn on a specific location and the one half, to an immediate environment.

We may opt to choose on whatever side, depending on the facts and information presented to us regarding these notions and theories about time and space.  Whether be linked to or based with the foundations of our faith.  What’s important is how deep or shallow our own ideas are and how it is affected by these phenomenon. The author further implies that the possibility of an idea, whether be it absurd or not, deeply relies on how we comprehend, how we cling or how we believe in it.

More significantly, the possibility of having to get or having to be in two places at the same time is not remote as facts and even recorded accounts have been laid down.  And although the concept of time travel is being debated up to this day, we do hope that it the idealistic mergence between physics and that of the paranormal will be realized in the near future.
