In that day God created the beasts of the earth and Adam and Eve. Genesis 2:1-3 records the 7th day in which God rested. Genesis 2:4-25 is a recap of day 6. It simply goes into more detail on what happened. Adam and Eve were the only humans created. When they were created they were the only humans on earth. The Bible also tells us that they eventually had "sons and daughters" in chapter five. Every man and woman to ever live came from the line of Adam and Eve. That is why every man and woman have a sin problem. It was passed down through them after the fall (Rom. 5:12). They had no children before the fall. There may have been other cities but that would have been a long time down the road. The people in that day lived much longer than we do. For example, Adam lived to be 930 years old. I think in 930 years he would've had enough time to have plenty of kids. I know we look at this as gross (and now it would'nt even be right) but in that day the only choice they would've had would've been to marry each other (bro and sis). Again i understand it is gross but if we take the Bible as the absolute truth then it is the fact. God created ONE man and ONE woman...not those two and then a bunch of other cities that He failed to mention. The Bible follows Adam and Eve's family because their family line goes directly to Christ. There were other people around...cities even if you keep reading. @Derrick
